After visiting Dakhla on December 8, the fight against irregular migration led Morocco's border control chief Khalid Zerouali to Nador, heading a delegation from the General Directorate of National Security and the Royal Gendarmerie.
For two days, December 29 and 30, the official in charge of migration and border surveillance at the the Interior Ministry carried out a series of inspections near border with Melilla. Accompanied by the governor of the province, he went to the wire fence in Beni Ensar.
Zerouali’s trip to Nador comes four weeks after the visit, on December 1 in Rabat, of European Union Commissioners for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson and Oliver Varhelyi for European Neighborhood Policy (ENP).
