The Indian government announced, Thursday, that the first consignments of the Covid-19 vaccine are to be shipped to Morocco and Brazil on Friday. The two countries will be getting the commercial contracted supplies of 2 million doses each with flights leaving at 4.15 am India Standard Time (IST) and 8 am IST on Friday, DNA India reported.
«Supply of commercially contracted quantities will also commence from tomorrow, starting with Brazil and Morocco, followed by South Africa and Saudi Arabia», Foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said earlier today.
Indeed, South Africa and Saudi Arabia will be supplied shortly after Morocco and Brazil, the same source added.
Morocco is also expected to receive vaccine shots from China's Sinopharm to launch its long-awaited nationwide vaccination campaign.
