1,138 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 464,844.
1,351 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 430,652.
29 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,105. 15 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 1 in Fès-Meknes, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Souss-Massa and another in Béni Mellal-Khénifra.
The country has 16,087 active cases, including 783 in critical conditions. 68 of them are on ventilators.
The region of Casablanca-Settat leads with 396 cases: 297 in Casablanca, 27 in Mohammedia, 21 in El Jadida, 17 in Nouaceur, 12 in Settat, 7 in Berrechid, 7 in Mediouna, 5 in Sidi Bennour and 3 in Benslimane. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 238 new cases: 100 in Tanger-Assilah, 50 in Tétouan, 46 in Al Hoceima, 15 in Ouazzane, 14 in Larache, 7 in Chefchaouen and 6 in M'diq-Fnideq.
The Oriental follows with 117 cases: 43 in Oujda-Angad, 32 in Berkane, 22 in Nador, 13 in Driouch, 3 in Jerada, 3 in Taourirt and 1 in Guercif. In addition, 117 new infections were identified in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 44 in Salé, 36 in Kénitra, 15 in Skhirat-Témara, 13 in Rabat, 6 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset.
Souss-Massa, for its part, identified 85 cases: 45 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 24 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 10 in Taroudant, 3 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 3 in Tiznit. Marrakech-Safi recorded, for its part, 45 infections: 25 in Marrakech, 8 in Safi, 4 in Essaouira, 4 in Chichaoua, 3 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Al Haouz.
43 cases were also confirmed in Fès-Meknes (19 in Fès, 9 in Taza, 7 in Meknes, 4 in Sefrou, 3 in El Hajeb and 1 in Taounate), 29 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (all in Guelmim) as well as 27 infections recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (14 in Errachidia, 7 in Ouarzazate, 4 in Zagora and 2 in Midelt).
Lastly, 20 infections were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (8 in Beni Mellal, 5 in Fqih Bensaleh, 5 in Azilal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra), 11 cases were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (6 in Boujdour and 5 in Laâyoune) and 10 infections were identified in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region).
