Morocco opens honorary consulate in Kolkata, India

Morocco has opened an honorary consulate in Kolkata, the capital of India's West Bengal state, Indian media reported on Monday.

According to the same sources, Ambassador Mohamed Maliki said that the honorary consulate will help boost bilateral relations and expand ties between Morocco and India in trade, investment and tourism.

Bilateral relations between the two countries have improved following the visit of King Mohammed VI to India in 2015, the same source added.
