WHO’s Covax to grant Morocco 1.8 million doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines

Covax is a global initiative aimed at equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines led by the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, the World Health Organization, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, among others. The initiative will grant Morocco 1,881,600 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Meanwhile, Algeria will receive 2,200,800 doses of the same vaccine, the World Health Organization announced in a document dedicated Covax.

Tunisia, on the other hand, will be granted 592,800 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 93,600 doses of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine. Mauritania will receive 360,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Serum Institute of India.

343,200 doses of the Swedish-British laboratory vaccine will be sent to Libya.
