Covid-19 in Morocco : 389 new infections and 13 deaths this Sunday

389 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 475,355. 463,966 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

583 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 454,504.

13 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,394. 7 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and 1 in Fès-Meknès.

The country has 12,457 active cases, including 593 in critical conditions. 47 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 126 infections: 106 in Casablanca, 12 in El Jadida, 3 in Settat, 3 in Nouaceur, 1 in Mohammedia and 1 in Mediouna. Then comes the Oriental region with 65 new cases: 32 in Oujda-Angad, 18 in Berkane, 10 in Nador, 3 in Driouch and 2 in Jerada.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 62 cases: 20 in Skhirat-Témara, 17 in Kénitra, 9 in Salé, 8 in Sidi Kacem, 7 in Rabat and 1 in Sidi Slimane. 52 new infections were in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma: 22 in Al Hoceima, 12 in Tétouan, 7 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 5 in Larache and 1 in Chefchaouen.

Souss-Massa recorded 32 cases: 15 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 10 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 4 in Tiznit, 2 in Taroudant and 1 in Tata. Marrakech-Safi recorded 20 infections: 14 in Marrakech, 3 in Chichaoua, 1 in Essaouira, 1 in the province of Al Haouz and 1 in Rhamna.

10 cases confirmed in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (6 in Laâyoune and 4 in Boujdour), 8 cases in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 5 recorded infections in Drâa-Tafilalet (2 in Ouarzazate, 2 in Midelt and 1 in Errachidia).

5 cases were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (3 in Boulmane and 2 in Fès), 3 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (2 in Guelmim and 1 in Tan Tan) and one case in Fqih Bensaleh (Beni-Mellal-Khénifra).
