Moroccan and Israeli students to learn about Moroccan Jewish heritage

Morocco’s Education Minister Saaid Amzazi held, Wednesday, his first phone call with his Israeli counterpart Yoav Galant, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The two ministers agreed, during this phone call «to set up a system by which an exchange of educational trips, tours and seminars will be set up between the two countries, deepening the diplomatic ties», the Israeli Minister said on Twitter.

Yoav Galant also announced that starting from next year, Israeli students will be systematically learning about Moroccan Jewish history. 

«Amzazi responded enthusiastically to my proposal», Gallant said, adding «school curricula will include the State of Israel and the history and heritage of Jews in Morocco».
