Covid-19 in Morocco : 121 new infections, vaccination record

121 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 478,595. 1,707,091 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.

697 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 459,549.

14 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,491. 6 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 3 in the Oriental, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Fès-Meknès, 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 10,555 active cases, including 467 in critical conditions. 41 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 31 new infections: 27 in Casablanca, 2 in Settat, 1 in El Jadida and Nouaceur. Next comes the Oriental region, with 29 new cases: 13 in Berkane, 5 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Taourirt, 4 in Nador and 2 in Driouch.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 27 cases: 15 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 4 in Sidi Kacem and 3 in Khemisset. 13 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 5 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima recorded 12 cases: 10 in Al Hoceima and 2 in Tetouan. Fès-Meknes recorded, for its part, 3 infections: 2 in Meknes and 1 in El Hajeb.

2 cases were recorded in Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi), 2 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 1 recorded in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun) and 1 confirmed case in Errachidia (Drâa-Tafilalet).
