Covid-19 in Morocco : 108 new cases and 2,552,017 people vaccinated as of Monday

108 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 481,263. 2,552,017 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 23,667 received their second shot.

633 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 465,297.

5 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,559. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in the Oriental region, 1 in Rabat-Sale-Kenitra and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.

The country has 7,407 active cases, including 423 in critical conditions. 32 of them are on ventilators.

The Casablanca-Settat region leads with 34 infections: 30 in Casablanca, 3 in El Jadida and 1 in Nouaceur. Next comes the Oriental region with 29 cases: 19 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Nador, 3 in Taourirt, 3 in Driouch and 1 in Berkane.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 19 cases: 9 in Salé, 6 in Rabat and 4 in Skhirat-Témara. In addition, 9 infections were identified in Souss-Massa: 5 in Tiznit and 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane.

Fès-Meknes recorded, for its part, 5 cases: 2 in Fez, 2 in Meknes and 1 in Taza. Beni Mellal-Khénifra identified 4 new infections: 2 in Azilal and 2 in Fqih Bensaleh.

There are also 3 infections identified in Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi), 2 confirmed cases in Al Hoceima (Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region) as well as 2 cases identified in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed- Dahab) and another one confirmed in Midelt (Drâa-Tafilalet region).

The Guelmim-Oued Noun and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra regions recorded no cases between Sunday and Monday.
