419 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 482,128. 2,911,635 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19, while 37,310 received their second shot.
710 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 466,815.
18 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,592. 0 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in the Oriental region and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.
The country has 6,721 active cases, including 437 in critical conditions. 33 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 211 infections: 182 in Casablanca, 11 in Mohammedia, 5 in El Jadida, 5 in Nouaceur, 3 in Settat, 2 in Médiouna, 2 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 48 cases: 16 in Al Hoceima, 12 in Tanger-Assilah, 8 in Larache, 6 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 4 in Tétouan and 2 in Chefchaouen.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 41 cases: 13 in Salé, 11 in Kénitra, 6 in Skhirat-Témara, 6 in Rabat and 5 in Sidi Slimane. 39 cases were confirmed in the Oriental region: 26 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 5 in Berkane and 2 in Taourirt.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 25 cases: 14 in Marrakech, 6 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 3 in Essaouira and 2 in Safi. Souss-Massa recorded 19 infections: 11 in Tiznit, 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul.
10 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (4 in Beni Mellal, 4 in Khénifra, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh), 7 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (5 in Guelmim and 2 in Assa Zag) and 6 the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
Fès-Meknes recorded 5 new cases (3 in Fès, 1 in Meknes and 1 in Taounate), as did Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (all in Laâyoune) while 3 new infections were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (1 in Tinghir, 1 in Midelt and 1 in Zagora).
