514 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 493,867. 4,293,544 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,231,742 people have received the second.
523 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 481,597.
5 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,793. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat region, 1 in Rabata-Sale-Kenitra, 1 in Daraa-Tafilalet and 1 in Fes-Meknes.
The country has 3,477 active cases, including 426 in critical conditions. 28 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 393 infections: 320 in Casablanca, 28 in Nouaceur, 23 in Mohammedia, 8 in Benslimane, 6 in Settat, 5 in Berrechid, 2 in El Jadida and 1 in Mediouna. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 39 cases: 25 in Sale, 8 in Rabat, 4 in Skhirat-Témara, 1 in Khémisset and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
20 infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 8 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 3 in Taourirt, 2 in Jerada and 1 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 16 new cases: 10 in Marrakech, 4 in Safi, 1 in Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Al Haouz.
Souss-Massa recorded 13 new infections: 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 3 in Tiznit, 2 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 8: 5 in Errachidia, 1 in Tinghir, 1 in Midelt and 1 in Zagora.
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 7 cases in Oued Ed-Dahab. Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 6 cases: 3 in Tangier-Assilah, 2 in Tetouan and 1 in Al Hoceïma. 5 cases were recorded in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 4 cases: 2 in Khénifra, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh. Fès-Meknes confirmed 3: 2 in Taounat and 1 in Meknes.
