Moroccan association AMANE and the NGO AIDA announced on Tuesday the launch of «KAFA», a digital campaign to fight against violence against children in Morocco. The initiative is funded by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.

«Whether physical, sexual, psychological or neglectful, violence against children is still widespread in Morocco»,  the AMANE association said in a press release sent to Yabiladi.

The NGO recognizes that violence «is difficult to detect and report due to its multiple forms which evolve with the progress of new digital technologies, greater mobility of populations (migration, tourism, travel, etc.), but also because it is a taboo». «As a result, many victims / survivors of violence, especially sexual violence, are deprived of access to the care and protection system», it regretted.

With AIDA, AMANE affirms that the fight against violence against children is «like a big puzzle which requires the commitment of everyone».

The «KAFA» digital campaign aims, in this sense, to «raise awareness among the general public, both adults and children, so that they become active protectors of children from all forms of violence».
