After postponing his visit to Morocco, the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Living Abroad, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed was received Sunday by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. «The Mauritanian minister gave President Tebboune a letter from his counterpart Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazouani», the Algerian press agency reported.

Before heading to Algeria, the Mauritanian Minister was received on Friday by Tunisian President Kais Saied to whom he also delivered a message from the Mauritanian president. «The meeting focused on cooperation and partnership relations between Tunisia and Mauritania», Anbaa.info wrote. Ould Sheikh Ahmed also held a working session at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with his counterpart Othman Jerandi.

The Mauritanian Foreign Minister was expected to visit Rabat on Wednesday to deliver a message from Mohamed Cheikh Ould El Ghazouani to King Mohammed VI before postponing his visit to a later date.

Two weeks ago, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani granted an audience to Bachir Mustapha Sayed at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, who sent him a written message from the Secretary General of the Polisario, Brahim Ghali.
