«I'm very happy with Inter Milan, but I don't know what's going to happen next season. I can only say that I am happy here», Moroccan international footballer Achraf Hakim said. According to Italian press, although Inter «does not intend to part ways with Hakimi this summer», the player «does not want to categorically rule out» a potential transfer, as Inter goes through a difficult financial situation.

Bayern Munich, which is looking for a new right-back, is interested in the Moroccan international. However, this «high level transfer from a sporting point of view» would remain «currently too expensive» for the club, around 50 million euros.

The Moroccan international arrived at Inter Milan in July 2020  for a 5-year contract. The transfer amount amounted to 45 million euros with bonus depending on the player's performance and Inter's performance.
