Unable to obtain a transit visa, Moroccan surfer Boubker Bouaouda to attend the World Surfing Games

Qualified for the 2021 ISA World Surfing Games, which will take place across the La Bocana and El Sunzal waves at Surf City in El Salvador, from 29 May to 6 June 2021, Moroccan surfer Boubker Bouaouda couldn’t get a transit visa for the United States to attend the competition. 

On Wednesday, things were restored and the surfer was able to obtain visa, two days before the start of the competition. On his social media, he announced the good news, while expressing his gratitude to the Internet users who gave supported him.

«I am very happy to announce that I have obtained the transit visa for the United States. I thank the American consulate in Casablanca for its support. I am in contact with the team of the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation, which is working on a solution so that I can realize my dream of participating in the world surfing games in El Salvador», he said.

Champion of many national and foreign tournaments, Boubker Bouaouda is tipped to win one of the places that will allow him to participate in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
