The inhabitants of San Benedetto del Tronto, a city in eastern Italy, have made the last wish of a Moroccan mother come true. Hanane, who was terminally ill, wanted to be reunited with her 10-year-old daughter who lives in Morocco.

Thanks to the solidarity of her community in San Benedetto del Tronto and to generous donations, Hanane was put on a plane to Morocco, with her friend and a nurse, given her serious medical condition, wrote Il Centro.

After a long trip, Hanane was able to hug her daughter. Hanane and her husband were forced to send their daughter to her uncle in Morocco in July after they realized that they could no longer take care of her. The mother was feeling very sick and the father who worked all day could only take care of his wife and daughter after work hours.

47-year-old Hanane has passed away in Morocco, wrote Il Centro on Tuesday, after she saw her daughter and spent time with her family. «Proud to have fulfilled your wish. Goodbye Hanane», wrote the mayor of San Benedetto del Tronto.
