Algerian football manager Adel Amrouche, who currently manages the Tanzanian national team, has joined the media in his home country and attacked the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, accusing them of practicing «collusion» in favor of the Moroccan national team.
The Moroccan National team is expected to play its first 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match, Wednesday, against Tanzania.
Responding to questions about Tanzania’s home loss to Morocco during the World Cup qualifiers, Amrouche acknowledged the Atlas Lions’ strength but hinted at unfairness.
«We recognize Morocco's power, they're an African force. But we requested a 2pm kickoff, only to be forced to play at night. It seems in African football, the powers that be decide...and we just have to compete against great teams and, apparently, other unknown factors», he argued.

Addressing the upcoming Morocco match, Amrouche concedes the team’s «strong lineup», but points out, «the stadium has its own voice». He emphasizes that «football is unpredictable», and pledges to employ «every tactic to guide Tanzania to victory».
«Although on-field performance ultimately decides the result, and our World Cup qualifying loss to Morocco won't define us, playing late against referees allegedly swayed by the Moroccan Federation raises concerns», Amrouche alleged.
