Moroccan military leader meets MINURSO head in Agadir

Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, received UN Special Representative Alexander Ivanko and a delegation at the South Zone General Staff headquarters in Agadir on Thursday, February 15th.

Major General Md Fakhrul Ahsan, Commander of the MINURSO Force, also accompanied Ivanko.

As stated in a FAR press release, the two officials discussed cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and MINURSO Forces, expressing their commitment to strengthening it for regional peace and stability.

For the record, Ivanko met in November in Algiers with Algerian diplomats. A visit which came a month after the Polisario attacks on Es-Smara.
