Morocco's ambassador to Jordan presents his credentials to King Abdullah II

King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan received Fouad Akhrif on Sunday in Amman. Akhrif presented his credentials as the new extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of King Mohammed VI to Jordan.

King Abdullah II praised the strong ties and deep brotherhood that unite him with King Mohammed VI, as well as the two royal families and the Moroccan and Jordanian people. He expressed his warm welcome to the new ambassador and the continuation of the excellent cooperation between the two countries.

The king also asked Ambassador Akhrif to convey his greetings and best wishes to King Mohammed VI, for his health and happiness, and for continued progress and prosperity for the Moroccan people.

Fouad Akhrif, appointed Morocco's ambassador to Jordan on November 30, is an experienced diplomat. He has held various positions of responsibility within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, which he joined in 1983. His prior roles include First Secretary at the Moroccan embassy in Rome and Deputy Head of Mission at the Moroccan embassy in Kuwait.
