Three arrested in Spain in connection with stabbing of Lamine Yamal's father

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested three individuals in connection with the stabbing of Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona footballer Lamine Yamal.

Nasraoui was hospitalized at Can Ruti Hospital in Badalona on Wednesday evening following the attack. While his condition is not life-threatening, the investigation remains open, with authorities considering additional arrests.

The incident occurred in the Rocafonda district of Mataro, where Nasraoui and his family reside. Witnesses reported a verbal altercation between Nasraoui and a group of individuals, which escalated into a physical confrontation. Nasraoui sustained multiple stab wounds to the abdomen.

A video of the initial altercation has circulated on social media, showing local police intervening before the stabbing. Authorities are investigating a potential link between the two incidents.

Nasraoui's condition is reported to be stable, according to sources close to the family and the Spanish national team.
