The schedule of Macron’s visit to Morocco revealed

The President of the French Republic has released the itinerary for Emmanuel Macron's first state visit to Morocco, set for October 28-30. On Monday at 4:30 p.m. (Moroccan time), «the President of the Republic and Mrs. Brigitte Macron will arrive at Place du Mechouar (at the Royal Palace in Rabat)», the source stated. Following an official welcoming ceremony for the presidential couple, King Mohammed VI and President Macron will hold a one-on-one meeting. The two heads of state will then oversee a ceremony to sign bilateral agreements.

On Tuesday, October 29, at the Residence for Royal Guests, Emmanuel Macron will hold meetings with Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, President of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami, and President of the House of Councillors Mohamed Ould Errachid.

In the morning, Macron and his wife Brigitte will visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat to pay their respects at the tombs of Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II. The French President will then address the Moroccan Parliament, followed by a luncheon with a Franco-Moroccan cultural delegation.

In the afternoon, Macron will preside over the closing ceremony of the Morocco-France entrepreneurial meetings, held in conjunction with his state visit. He will also participate in a «Gaming Sequence» with French and Moroccan professionals from the creative industry, including gamers. King Mohammed VI will host a state dinner at the Royal Palace in Rabat to honor the French President and his wife.

On the final day of Macron’s visit, an «exchange on food security and sustainable agriculture in Africa» will take place with Moroccan and African students at the OCP Foundation. The President will conclude his visit with a speech to the French community in Morocco.
