A delegation of Egyptian businessmen is set to visit Morocco in the near future to explore investment opportunities and work on leveraging Egyptian investments in the North African kingdom.
This upcoming visit has been decided by the Egyptian-Moroccan Joint Business Council, which recently convened its inaugural meeting to discuss strategies for enhancing communication and collaboration between the two countries, with the aim of boosting investments and trade, wrote Egyptian media on Monday.
Nezar Abou-Ismail, the head of the Egyptian-Moroccan Joint Business Council, said that the goal of this visit is to position Egypt as a gateway for Moroccan exports to East Africa, through exhibitions for Egyptian and Moroccan products in both countries.
Furthermore, Abou-Ismail revealed plans to present four industrial projects to the Moroccan Minister of Trade early next year. These projects will be studied and implemented by the two parties to drive industrial growth in both countries.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt's exports to Morocco span a wide range of goods, including iron and steel products, building materials like cement and ceramics, coke and carbon, agricultural fertilizers, and chemicals.
Exports also cover food products such as vegetable oils, vegetables, fruits, and dates, in addition to electrical appliances, engineering goods, plastics, and paper products.
