Moroccan kickboxer Badr Hari was taken into custody on Sunday, February 2, following allegations of assaulting the mother of his five children. According to Dutch media reports, the incident occurred as Hari was returning his children to his ex-wife, in accordance with their visitation arrangement.

It is alleged that Hari struck his ex-wife in the face at her doorstep. The reported assault was reportedly captured on camera, with several witnesses present at the scene.

Amsterdam police arrested Hari on the same day, and he remains in custody. His lawyer, Cem Polat, confirmed the arrest to local media, stating, «That's the only thing I can say about it».

This is not the first time Hari has faced accusations of violent behavior. In 2012, he was involved in a high-profile case where he was accused of assaulting businessman Koen Everink in the skybox of the Amsterdam Arena.

During the Sensation White event in 2012, Everink suffered severe injuries from the beating, which left him with long-term physical issues. The Netherlands Forensic Institute likened the severity of the blows and kicks to being struck by a horse or involved in a car collision. Ultimately, Hari received a two-year prison sentence on appeal, ten months of which were conditional.
