On Tuesday, February 11, the Marrakech Police Department, under the guidance of the Public Prosecutor's Office, initiated a judicial investigation into alleged criminal activities involving seven individuals. The group, consisting of four women and three men aged between 25 and 43, is suspected of operating a venue for illicit activities and facilitating prostitution.

The investigation was triggered by the discovery of sexual advertisements on a social media platform managed from a sub-Saharan African country. These ads promoted sexual services in Marrakech, prompting authorities to take action. Following thorough investigations, the suspects were apprehended in a city apartment. During the raid, police seized condoms and a sum of money believed to be the proceeds of the alleged criminal enterprise.

The suspects are currently in custody, with the Public Prosecution overseeing the proceedings. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and apprehend any additional individuals involved in the case.
