Morocco : Belgian tourist dies in paragliding accident near Agadir

A 57-year-old Belgian tourist died on Monday, March 3, in Morocco while paragliding near Agadir.

According to local media, the tragic accident occurred near Aglou, a small town in Tiznit Province. The man reportedly fell from a mountain peak in Oukan after takeoff.

An investigation has been opened, and his body was transferred to a nearby hospital.

Belgium's Federal Public Service for Foreign Affairs confirmed that it is following the case through its embassy in Rabat but provided no further details, Belgian news agency Belga reported on Wednesday.

The man was from Affligem, west-northwest of Brussels, and is survived by his wife and two children. He had traveled with friends to practice paragliding in Tiznit Province, a popular destination for adventure sports among both locals and tourists.
