On Monday, King Mohammed VI attended the Eid Al-Fitr prayer at the Ahl Fès mosque in the Mechouar of Rabat, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and other members of the royal family.
Upon his arrival, the sovereign was greeted by a detachment of the Royal Guard before taking part in the prayer. In his sermon, the imam reflected on the spiritual significance of Ramadan and the celebration of Laylat Al-Qadr, the night marking the revelation of the first verses of the Quran. He also prayed for the protection of the king and his family.
After the religious ceremony, the king returned to the Royal Palace of Rabat amid cheers from the crowd. Cannon salutes marked the festive occasion.
At the palace, Mohammed VI received well-wishes from the head of government, the presidents of both chambers of Parliament, representatives of the judiciary, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps, and several high-ranking civil and military officials.
