On the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) hosted an economic forum titled «Morocco Now», centered on the strategic partnership between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. Held under the theme «From Vision to Action: Morocco & UAE Shaping a Bright Future Together», the event brought together key economic players from both countries—public and private sectors alike—as well as influential members of the Moroccan diaspora living in the Gulf.
The initiative is part of Morocco’s national strategy to stimulate private investment and reflects a strong commitment to diversifying the Kingdom’s economic partnerships. It aims to position Morocco as a regional hub for investment and exports, targeting both Africa and the Euro-Mediterranean region. According to a statement, the event also served to spotlight ongoing reforms, highlight high-potential sectors, and present concrete projects that could pave the way for sustainable, mutually beneficial collaborations.
«Morocco Now» featured the participation of several high-level officials, including the Moroccan Ambassador to the UAE, the Deputy Minister in charge of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, the Director General of AMDIE, the Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, and the Director of Business Development and African Cooperation at Casablanca Finance City (CFC).
This strong turnout underscores the strategic importance Morocco places on its economic ties with the United Arab Emirates.
