Tetouan police arrest 72-year-old man for raping a minor

On Wednesday, security forces in Tetouan launched an operation that culminated in the arrest of a man in his seventies, suspected of luring and raping a minor.

According to the newspaper Assabah, the 72-year-old suspect allegedly enticed the victim and committed the assault within the city. Through field investigations and technical expertise, authorities were able to identify and apprehend the suspect.

The same source reported that the victim, a 10-year-old boy, has been provided with immediate psychological and social support. Meanwhile, the suspect remains in custody under judicial supervision as ordered by the public prosecutor.

This measure will remain in place pending the completion of investigations to uncover the full circumstances and details of the case, and to determine the criminal charges against him.
