FIFA sets world record with 69 nationalities in one match in Morocco
DR

FIFA has set a new Guinness World Record by bringing together players of 69 different nationalities in a single exhibition match held on Wednesday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmoura, near Salé.

The organization broke the previous record held since 2019 by the British association Equal Playing Field, which had featured two teams totaling 53 nationalities in a similar exhibition game.

The match, played on the indoor pitch of the Mohammed VI Football Complex, brought together FIFA staff members from various divisions, including the Member Associations Division, which oversees development programs.

Built over an area of 29.3 hectares, the Mohammed VI Football Complex is equipped with world-class facilities that meet FIFA standards, making it one of the most advanced football centers in the world. Since July 2025, it has also been home to FIFA’s Africa Office headquarters.
