Following a statement by the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), the Democratic Workers' Party (PVDT) has also condemned what it described as «American imperialist aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela». The far-left party expressed its «total, unconditional, and unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan people».

In a statement, the PVDT denounced the U.S. military operation that led to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, calling it a «criminal attack». «This imperialist aggression is a continuation of the colonial, hegemonic, and terrorist policies pursued by the United States of America on a global scale, particularly in Latin America», the party said.

The PVDT also criticized what it termed the «shameful silence and complicit inaction of the international community in the face of American imperialist arrogance and repeated violations of international law».

The party called on «all communist, progressive, democratic, and anti-imperialist forces» to work toward ending what it sees as American aggression and to «redouble efforts to build a united international front against imperialism, particularly American imperialism».

The PVDT recalled that its former secretary-general, Mustapha Brahma, who died in October 2025, attended Maduro’s presidential inauguration in Caracas in January 2019, an election that was contested at the time by the United States and the European Union.

In Morocco, Islamist movements such as the Justice and Development Party (PJD) and Al Adl wal Ihsane have yet to issue an official response to Maduro’s arrest by U.S. forces.
