The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced it is in possession of reports and video footage suggesting potentially unacceptable conduct by certain players and officials. An investigation is now underway into the incidents that took place during the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final matches, Morocco 2025, featuring the Cameroon national team against Morocco, and Algeria against Nigeria.
In a statement, CAF revealed these cases have been forwarded to the Disciplinary Committee for further investigation, with a call for necessary actions to be taken should any violations be confirmed.
CAF has clarified that it is closely reviewing video footage related to inappropriate conduct by certain media representatives in the mixed zone.
The Confederation strongly condemned any form of misconduct during matches, particularly behavior directed at referees or match organizers. It emphasized that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against anyone whose actions fall short of the professional standards required at CAF competitions.
