US lawmaker backs bill to designate Polisario Front as terrorist group

Timothy Keith Moore, a Republican congressman representing North Carolina’s 14th district since 2025, announced on Monday his support for a bill seeking to designate the Polisario Front as a terrorist organization.

The bill was introduced by Joe Wilson on June 24, 2025, and continues to gain support in Congress. So far, it is co-sponsored by 12 members of Congress, mostly Republicans.

Parallel efforts in the Senate, spearheaded by Republican Senator Ted Cruz, have also gained traction, with four senators lending their support, highlighting the increasing attention this issue is receiving.
