Morocco: More than 7.7 million tourists (+13%) by end-May 2026

Morocco welcomed 7.7 million tourists by the end of May 2026, a 7% increase compared with the same period in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

The sector continued its strong momentum in May, with 1.7 million tourist arrivals recorded during the month, up 13% year-on-year, the ministry said in a statement.

«The results achieved confirm the relevance of our strategy, which is based on investing simultaneously in connectivity, the tourism offering and the visitor experience,» said Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

According to the minister, «it is this vision that enables us to sustain growth and further strengthen the Kingdom’s appeal among travelers from around the world.»
