Morocco Airports launch smartphone boarding pass system
DR

Airports of Morocco has introduced Pax Check, a new system allowing passengers to use a fully digital boarding pass stored on their smartphone, eliminating the need to print the document before arriving at the airport.

After completing online check-in through their airline's app, travelers receive a secure QR code that serves as their boarding pass. Since document checks are carried out in advance by airlines in accordance with regulatory requirements, passengers can move more quickly through security checkpoints and automated gates without presenting a paper boarding pass.

According to Airports of Morocco, the new system reduces document handling, facilitates movement through airport terminals and improves the overall passenger experience while maintaining the highest national and international safety and security standards. Pax Check will be gradually rolled out to airlines that meet the required technical, operational and regulatory conditions, marking the first step toward a fully digital airport journey designed to keep pace with evolving travel habits and growing air traffic.
