Young Moroccan international Abdellah Ouazzane starred for Ajax Amsterdam on Sunday, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 pre-season victory over English club Burnley in Amsterdam.
Ajax took the lead in the 34th minute through Aaron Bouwman before Burnley levelled in the 62nd minute thanks to Luca Koleosho.
Ouazzane, who was a constant attacking threat throughout the match, restored Ajax's lead five minutes later, finishing off an assist from Don-Angelo Konadu in the 67th minute. He was substituted two minutes later for Kian Fitz-Jim.
Following his impressive performance, the Moroccan attacking midfielder was named Man of the Match, further highlighting his strong form during Ajax's pre-season campaign and his growing integration into the club's first team.
The latest display comes just days after Ouazzane made a successful European debut, providing an assist in Ajax's 4-1 victory over FK Vojvodina in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round.
Ouazzane captained Morocco to the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations title and was named the tournament's Best Player, cementing his reputation as one of Moroccan football's brightest young prospects.
