At least 22 people were killed and 59 injured in a suicide bomb attack at Manchester that targeted a pop concert arena Monday 22th of May around 10.30 pm, the Guardian reports.

According to the same source, the attack was carried by a man with an explosive device which took place at the end of a concert of Ariana Grande, an American pop singer. The concert was attended by young people and children also.

Theresa May, the Braitain’s Prime Minister said in a statement following the attack that : «we are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack. All our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected».

Greater Manchester police reportedly «have confirmed that they believe the bombing was the responsibility of one armed with an improvised explosive device», the Guardian online newspaper declared. Contacted by Yabiladi, the Moroccan consulate in London confirmed that no Moroccan nationals have been among the attack's victims. 

According to the Independent, British online newspaper, the terrorist group «ISIS» has claimed its responsibility over the attack claiming that the bomber was a «soldier of the caliphate».

«With Allah's grace and support, a soldier of the Khilafah [caliphate] managed to place explosive devices in the midst of the gatherings of the crusaders in the British city of Manchester», said a statement published by the «Islamic state» in several languages through its central media body as the same source indicates.
