In a sit-in held yesterday in Sidi Abid neighborhood in Al Hoceima, the father of Nasser zefzafi seized the moment to speak to the protesters.

«I would like to say that this is our fate. I thank all of you for being here tonight and I thank other citizens who did the same in other Moroccan cities», he said. He then apologized, saying that he did not prepare a speech. The father of Nasser Zefzafi said afterwards that people should carry on «to ensure the continuity of the Hirak» and «to send a message to Nasser Zefzafi and all those people who got kidnapped».

«I am here to tell them that their brothers in the Rif,other Moroccan cities, and in Europe are all supporting them. We are asking this country to refrain from all the charges set against our political detainees and kidnapped people».

He later on insisted on protesting in a peaceful way repeating the word «peaceful» several times in a row while the crowds were applauding.

On Tuesday night, and after Ichaa and Tarawih prayers, several sit-ins were held in multiple Moroccan cities to support the Hirak in the Rif region. Only the manifestation organized in Al Hoceima finally took place, under the scrutiny of local authorities and several international media reporters. In Casablanca, the sit-in planned to take place in front of the police headquarters was violently dispersed by the local authorities before the citizens could regroup. Dozens of people then moved to the United Nations Place to protest for ten minutes.
