Morocco has Benin's support for joining the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). A position expressed yesterday in Rabat by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Benin, Adrien Houngbedji, after holding talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.
Speaking to media, the official praised the kingdom’s efforts, stressing that its membership would be beneficial for the entire regional bloc.
The president of the ECOWAS commission has called last year think tanks and researchers to assess the impact Rabat's membership would bring when joining the organization. These surveys must be submitted on the 2nd of March.
