French-Swiss Muslim academic, philosopher, and writer Tariq Ramadan is involved in a new rape case according to the French daily Libération. This time, a Muslim woman filed a complaint against Ramadan, indicating that she was sexually assaulted in August 2013 in Washington, USA.

The 30-year-old alleged victim, who requested anonymity currently, lives in Kuwait. She said she met Tariq Ramadan at a conference on Muslim communities in North America. She added that on the 31st of August 2013, the lecturer invited her to join him in a hotel room where he sexually assaulted her against her consent.

Jonas Haddad, former lawyer of two complaints accusing Tariq Ramadan of rape, confirmed to Liberation to have been in contact with the American accuser. «I was in touch with her about two months ago through American sources,» he said, adding that the discussions focused on the possible procedure to be initiated in the United States.

This complaint is relayed by the press the day after the testimony of a third complainant, revealed Wednesday by Europe 1, reporting the facts of rape and violence against a French Muslim.
