The next edition of Maroc in Mode-Maroc sourcing show will be held in Marrakech on October the 11th and 12th, 2018, says Drapes online.
The show will present multiple sustainable eco-systems including fast fashion, jersey, knit, lingerie, technical clothing, sportswear, leisurewear and denim cluster, with about 1500 visitors expected from Africa, Europe, and America.
The event will be a good introduction to the country’s capabilities in this field, adds the same source.
Organized by Amith, the Moroccan Textile Association, the Moroccan Foreign Trade Ministry and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the show will host around 200 exhibitors, package and cut measure and trim (CMT) manufacturers’ suppliers, as well as innovative suppliers of yarns, fabrics, accessories, technologies and services from the Mediterranean.
The kingdom is a go to fashion sourcing destination as the textile and clothing industry is its largest employer. Recent statistics suggest that 1600 manufacturers produce more than 1 billion a year with and employs 180 000 people.
Morocco’s textile industry is ranked 8th among the countries that export clothing to Europe thanks to its geographical location.
