Morocco is to host for the first time the Ironman 70.3 triathlon on October the 27th, 2019, 220 Triathlon on Thursday.
The sports event will take place in Marrakech and athletes from all over the world will have to pass by several historic landmarks in the city, including the ancient medina, the Bahia Palace, the Madrasa, the Koutoubia mosque, the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the Majorelle Garden, says the same source.
«It is a dream come true that the iconic and internationally acclaimed competition, the Ironman 70.3 triathlon, will be held for the first time in the Maghreb by Morocco», Simo Azelarab, president of NAPECO and event organizer told the same platform.
«This event is sure to attract athletes from across the globe and will inspire Moroccan athletes to compete in one of the most personally-satisfying endurance challenges in the world».
