Former Barca stars to play against Morocco’s Chabab Mohammedia in June

Former Barca stars will be play a match on Sunday, June 9, against Moroccan sporting club Chabab Mohammedia, the club said on its website. Barca’s team, managed by Spanish retired footballer Albert Ferrer, will face senior footballers from the Moroccan club.

Barca’s squad for the Morocco game will feature Albert Jorquera, Jesus Angoy, Sánchez Jara, Robert Fernández, Frédéric Dehu, Samuel Okunowo, Miguel Angel Nadal, Juan Carlos, Juliano Belletti, Jose Edmílson, Gabri García, Roger, Giovanni Silva de Oliveira, Andoni Goikoetxea, Julio Salinas, Miquel Soler, Sonny Anderson and Rivaldo.

The game will be screened on Barca TV, the club revealed. This is not the first time that the club comes to Morocco for a game. In August, 2018, the first team played in Tangier, beating Sevilla 2-1 in the Spanish Super Cup Final.

Barca Legends is a team that includes former Barca stars. Through this project created by the club, these players «further their playing careers after retirement», Barca said.
