Carabinieri in Milan arrested 34 members of the 'Ndrangheta, a Mafia-type organized crime group based in Calabria, Italy. One of the suspects is a Moroccan national who was arrested during a coordinated crackdown on the criminal group.
On Thursday, Italian newspaper L'Unione Sarda recalled that the mob is the strongest in Italy and Europe and it is monopolizing economic activities in Milan, Varese, Malpensa and its surroundings.
Following the raid against members of this Italian mafia, police said Wednesday that at least 173 objects of real estate and other property worth $135 million were seized.
