The Tindouf camps record a new disappearance, apparently in close connection with the cases of the three activists detained for almost a month.

«Hafdhallah Brika, the younger brother of Fadel Brika, was kidnapped last night by armed elements of the Polisario», says Messaoud Ramdan, president of the Saharawi Human Rights Association. His family is expected to issue a statement announcing his kidnapping in the next few hours.

On the reasons for this disappearance, another source contacted by Yabiladi believes that Hafdhallah that the incident is due to his frequent contacts with the Spanish consulate in Oran. «Through this arrest, the leadership of the Polisario intends to block the path to the Spanish who express a particular interest in a case that concerns first and foremost one of their nationals. Fadel Brika indeed bears Spanish citizenship», she explains.

In a previous article dated June 26, Yabiladi reported a first contact between the mother of the Sahrawi and the diplomatic representation of the Iberian neighbor in Oran. The Spanish consulate general in Algiers commissioned said diplomatic representation to follow the file closely.
