In a video shot, last week, at the Beni Ansar-Melilla border crossing, a group of Moroccan youngsters attacked two buses in an attempt to enter the city.

According to El Confidencial, said video went viral in the autonomous city because «it shows the passivity of Moroccan security forces». The Moroccan teenagers stormed the buses, which were about to leave Morocco for Melilla.

«Dozens of Moroccan police and customs officers are permanently deployed near the Beni Ansar border crossing, but they did not intervene to stop the young men who stormed the buses», wrote the Spanish newspaper.

«We denounce what happened at the Beni Ansar border crossing and the passivity of the Moroccan authorities», the owner of one of these buses said in a tweet. «This is not the first time that this happens. We do not feel safe when we go to the neighboring country», the owner added.
