A British Airways flight, linking London’s Gatwick airport to that of Marrakech, was forced to make an emergency landing at the Porto airport in Portugal on Thursday, October 17.

According to the Daily Mail and The Sun, the Airbus A230 was carrying 167 passengers. A British Airways spokesperson said that the pilot «had decided to divert as a precaution due to a technical issue».

«We're very sorry for the delay to our customers' journeys after our aircraft diverted as a precaution due to a technical issue», said the spokesperson.
