«Currently, we produce 3 million units a day. As of next Tuesday, we will expect to reach 5 million», the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy said, Tuesday, in an interview, referring to locally-manufactured face masks.
Elalamy revealed that some foreign countries want to import these masks. He explained that the country will consider exporting these masks when the needs of the local market are fully met.
The minister also stressed that the production of the masks started last week. The first batches were for health workers and other frontliners, who are working to ensure the state of health emergency.
