A second repatriation plane is expected to leave Morocco on Wednesday to bring Dutch nationals stranded in the Kingdom home. According to Dutch broadcaster NOS, which quotes Volkskrant, Dutch people stranded in the country were told the news via phone.

The plane chartered by the Netherlands will leave the Casablanca International Airport in the evening and will transport 300 Dutch nationals, especially those who have social and medical emergencies and need to return to Netherlands as soon as possible.

This is not the first flight chartered by the Netherlands to repatriate Dutch nationals and Dutch-Moroccans stranded in the Kingdom. In April, a flight from Casablanca landed at Schiphol, transporting 300 people.

According to the Dutch authorities, 3,000 Dutch people have been stranded in Morocco because of the coronavirus travel ban.
