A plane chartered by Spain to repatriate Spanish nationals stranded in Morocco is expected to land at the Mohammed V airport on Thursday, the Spanish embassy in Morocco wrote on its twitter account.

The flight will transport 180 people, including Spanish nationals and Moroccans residing in Spain with medical and social emergencies.

For the record, the last repatriation plane chartered by Spain to bring Spanish nationals stranded in Morocco home was on April 3. The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Iberia Company, has chartered planes to several countries affected by the health crisis linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

These special operations have enabled the repatriation of more than 25,000 people to Spain.
