Portugal is planning to deport 22 Moroccan men who were taken into custody on Monday after being intercepted by maritime police near Vale de Lobo beach in Loulé, Portugal Resident reports.
The men will stay at temporary shelters in Faro, Lisbon and Porto before deportation. None of them requested asylum, the same source said.
The 22 Moroccans arrived in Portugal on a seven-meter boat after sailing for three days. They said that they come from El Jadida.
Earlier this month, seven Moroccan men were on a boat intercepted by maritime authorities in Portugal.
